Summary

We are seeking a Leader to directly impact a mission-driven, energetic workforce who are changing the way people use energy. As the Head of People Operations and Total Rewards, you will be responsible for overall strategy and execution of the CLEAResult People Operations and Total Rewards functions. Within People Operations, you will oversee shared services, HR systems, immigration and compliance. Within the Total Rewards Space, you will oversee Executive Compensation, our Equity Program, overall Compensation, Wellness & Benefits. You’ll be an integral part of the People Leadership Team working in close partnership to continually improve and develop these strategies. Your understanding of our business will be essential to being a thought leader on strategic compensation and people operations. It will be your role to balance long-term planning with the ability to create practical, scalable and actionable plans that are understood by all stakeholders. You will evolve CLEAResult’s Total Rewards and People Operations function and lead a team of high-achieving individuals. This will require you to think big, use data to guide your work, be comfortable challenging convention, and in some cases reinvent how work is done.

Job Description

You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…

  • Provide deep expertise in overall People Operations: total rewards, compensation approaches and solutions, equity program management, shared services, HR systems, and policies/compliance.
  • Bring a depth of expertise and knowledge around executive compensation, equity program management, and innovative compensation approaches and solutions.
  • Proactively manage and create strong partnerships with benefits and providers, including rate renewal negotiations, claims handling, market surveys, open enrollment communication and meetings
  • Ensure employee recognition programs drive engagement and align with our culture
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to evolve the company’s compensation philosophy and salary administration, structure, and systems
  • Manage our compensation practices around key touch points i.e. new hire offers, promotions, and annual market adjustments
  • Lead the development, communication and effective implementation of People policies as needed
  • Manage our immigration and mobility practices and external vendor partners to support our efforts to attract and retain top talent
  • Provide guidance and timely follow-up to employee and manager inquiries
  • Oversee day-to-day management of HR operations function including HRIS, policies and procedures and company compliance
  • Provide information and insight via reporting.
  • Be comfortable challenging assumptions and challenge “the-way-it’s-always-been-done” thinking.
  • Proactively stay abreast of changing laws and regulations to ensure company compliance with the laws where we do business and expand our business.
  • Be hands-on, working side by side with our people to get things done on a variety of total rewards and people operations related areas. As a core part of this hands-on work, you will be rolling out programs to support the People team, including compensation, long term incentives, immigration and compliance.

• You have a minimum of 5-7+ years experience operating as the leader of overall people operations and total rewards.

• You have an advanced degree or related experience (bachelor’s degree minimally required).

• You are an expert in the following areas: total rewards, shared services, HR systems, benefits, compliance and overall People operations.

• You have experience in working at the board level with Compensation Committees.

• You have a deep passion for compensation strategy, planning, design, and implementation.

• You are an exceptional leader to a team of People/HR .

• You have collaborated with business leaders to create a comprehensive people plan to influence lasting change.

• You’re capable of flying high and being a strategic player in one breath and getting into the work with a strong detail-orientation.
