This initiative – named Loop – is a ground-breaking step towards the end of single-use disposable materials and the beginning of a circular economy for the consumer goods industry. Loop has been announced at the World Economic Forum at Davos in January 2019 and received both tremendous feedback from the media as well as from consumers all around the world that have already registered onto the platform.
In May 2019, we launched our first pilots accessible on http://www.maboutiqueloop.fr and http://www.loopstore.com , in partnership with Carrefour in FR and Kroger and Walgreens in the US plus an important and growing number of large and smaller brands (Evian, Tropicana, Ariel, Carrefour Bio, Lesieur, Les Petits Bidons, Brâam, Pantene, etc.). This standalone e-commerce platform is accessible to consumers in Paris/Parisian area and will be expanding to more regions in the coming months as well as being accessible directly through the existing Carrefour e-shop. Moving forward the Loop service will also be accessible in physical retail stores, enabling a large number of consumers to access the platform and for the Loop model quickly move to scale-up.

JOB OVERVIEW:
The Loop Global team is looking for an outgoing, highly organized, reliable, agile, team-focused Lead Retail Manager with +10 years work experience to work with all current and upcoming Retailers across the different markets on integrating Loop (TerraCycle’s newest line of business focused on selling consumer goods in durable, reusable packaging) into their operations
This role will be reporting into the GVP of Brand & Retailer Partnerships and the role is based in TerraCycle’s office in Trenton, NJ (in between NYC and Philadelphia).
We are looking for someone who is a fervent believer in Loop’s mission, who is not afraid of challenges and fast-changing startup environment and who has experience in or a strong understanding of the retail industry and has experience managing a team (including remote management).
The position will require people management, project management, communication, and organizational skills, along with a deep understanding of distribution, merchandising, JBPs, negotiation and general interaction between Retailers and CPG companies. Responsibilities will include both retailers’ relations as well as general project management, and the successful applicant will be trained and highly successful in both capacities.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drive relationships with our Retailers and be the go-to person for the Retailer project leader: Identify tensions points and frame solutions, know how to navigate the Retail organization
- Lead the involved Loop team to develop a well-functioning durable supply chain in partnership with the Lead Project Manager with the retailer
- Manage the Loop Global Retail Management team (currently 2 people)
- Communicate and formally present project updates and requirements to critical staff and accounts
- Support the business with general project management
- Perform all other related tasks and assignments
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Have a master’s degree in business, management, marketing, or equivalent experience
- 10+ years of professional experience with Retailers (Mass Retailers preferred) ideally in Merchandising function. Additional experience in Customer teams on the Brands side is a clear plus. (e.g. customer team management, sales/account, management function)
- 4+ years of managerial experience with direct reports
- Proven ability to assess and order priorities, juggle multiple tasks, anticipate/plan ahead and project manage in a highly changing environment is a MUST
- Having experience is important, but the attitude is right up there, too. We want to work with like-minded sunny, personable, yes people who are game for tackling far-fetched ideas and turning them into reality.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
- Our office environment is very fast paced and every day is different. You’ll report directly into our VP Brand and Retail partnership and often be called into meetings with our CEO (including travel – expect 40-50% travel) and be given ambitious goals with tight timelines. We have a colorful and inspiring open office space made with recycled materials and an open courtyard in the center where we often have meetings and lunch (sometimes at the same time). Dress code is relaxed and informal.
