Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems (NGIS) is seeking a General Manufacturing Manager to join our Beavercreek, Ohio Flight Systems Group. We are a world-class manufacturer of composite primary and secondary structures for commercial and military aircraft and launch vehicles. You will be leading a team of up to 15 technicians (operatives) performing fabrication and assembly work. Our work is mission critical and directly contributes to national security.
Responsibilities include the following:

Oversees the daily production and manufacturing operations

Coordinate and lead operations start up meeting
-
Daily resource planning to meet customer/schedule demand

Collaborate with production scheduling to meet schedule requirements

Ensure tools, plans, people and material are available to complete assigned workload

Report production KPIs to site leadership
-
Perform rootcause analysis for corrective actions on safety & quality incidents
-
Mentor, train, and develop staff including performance management and corrective action
-
Drive continuous improvement in safety, delivery, quality and cost

Travel is less than 10% and within the US.
Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of relevant work experience. Note: An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Experience in a manufacturing environment

Leadership experience in a work environment (e.g. Group Lead, Supervisor, etc.)

Able to obtain and maintain a security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience supervising teams of 10+ employees

Understanding of SQDEC (safety, quality, employee, delivery, and cost) KPIs
-
Familiar with manufacturing processes and material flow
-
Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Experience with composite manufacturing
