    COMMERCIAL FLOORING ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER – Healthcare

    We’re an established commercial flooring subcontractor in Southern California looking to expand our team to keep up with demand. Candidate must have a “can-do” attitude and be willing to work with a fast-paced team.

    For an ambitious and qualified candidate there is significant growth potential in this position in both responsibility and income.

    This position will be 50% working in the field and calling on accounts and managing projects and 50% in our Irvine office.

    Job Description:

    An Asst. Project Manager is responsible for calling on assigned accounts and managing projects though all stages of the construction process, from bidding, project planning and delivery, completion and managing the project budget against the actual costs. This position will be focused primarily on calling on Healthcare accounts.

    Daily activities will include: calling on assigned customer accounts to generate sales. Preparing quotes based on customer requests and/or project plans and specifications. Evaluating specified materials, visiting job sites to confirm conditions and assist with issues, working with labor crews to schedule installation, coordinating directly with customers regarding project details and scheduling, and assisting with project close-out.

    Work Location & Hours

    The position will be approximately 50% in the field and 50% in our Irvine office. Candidate must have a reliable and well-functioning vehicle for travel across southern California (San Diego, Orange and LA Counties). Travel costs are reimbursable. Working hours will vary depending on project schedules and needs.

    *Candidate MUST have the following:
    (a) EXCELLENT customer service abilities

    (b) Prior experience in the construction industry (flooring preferred)

    (c) Prior experience working in Healthcare is a big plus.

    (d) high proficiency on computers

    (e) ability to work with a fast-paced team

    (f) prior experience with reading blueprints/plans

    Compensation according to experience/skills.
