This position facilitates project team(s) through all aspects of the development lifecycle, and continuously partners with stakeholders to meet or exceed expectations. Incumbent will continually assess maturity of agile/scrum model at PSCU, and will encourage use of agile methodology and maturity. Incumbent will also facilitate scrum events, program events, and team dynamics, building a trusting environment focused on problem solving.
Role Responsibilities
- Guide team(s) on how to use agile/scrum practices and processes; Bring tools and techniques to help the team apply scrum practices, principles, and values
- Assess maturity of agile/scrum functionality of team, coach team(s) to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable, and that align with program standards
- Facilitate scrum events, program events, team dynamics and team maturity
- Drive continuous improvement within the team(s) with a focus on agile principles; Facilitate discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution
- Remove impediments or guide team(s) to remove impediments, managing internal escalations as needed
- Build trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame or retribution, with an emphasis on problem-solving
- Maintain project tracking systems to reflect accurate budget and time tracking, keeping project budget within the defined thresholds; ensure team(s) update all related systems properly
- Ensure completion of resource planning, cost estimations, cost budgeting and control
- Provide communication to stakeholders related to programs and projects, their risks and obstacles and steps being taken to mitigate and resolve
- Work with team on release management process for implementation into environments
Role Requirements
Education :
- Bachelorâs degree in Systems, Business Management, or equivalent combination of education and experience required. PMP and CSM certification preferred.
Experience :
- Five (5) years of hands-on project management experience, preferably in agile methodology, required.
- Previous waterfall project management experience preferred.
- Experience in systems or financial services environment, card payments, banking, contact center, new product development, information technology or process re-engineering preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Experience with managing large scale technology projects (software/hardware)
- Ability to manage multiple assignments, work in fast-paced environment, and meet deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with ability to gain consensus through mediation, find innovative solutions to challenges, and identify issues and provide potential solutions
- Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats and give presentations utilizing various audiovisual support aids
- Possess strong leadership and problem solving skills and have the ability to negotiate with and influence others across all organizational levels
- Ability to exercise discretion and good judgment in making decisions
- Familiarity with Microsoft Project, Project Servicer, and Jira preferred.
- Ability to maintain composure and focus in difficult situations; effectively resolve conflicts and resolve issues without emotion
