District Manager – Richmond, Virginia Area

Mission:

To drive strong execution and leadership to help our customers grow profitable sales.

Scope:

The District Manager will report directly to the Regional Manager and will own point accountability for execution across roughly 1 – 4 U.S. states. Each District Manager will have a direct team of 20 – 30 Mobile Merchandisers. The districts are each expected to generate approximately $3M to $5M through 2018 and $5M by 2020.

Role Expectations: Will be expected to consistently deliver top quartile outcomes for following areas:

  • Business Results – Consistent positive results against sales, expense, operational, and talent objectives
  • Customer Relationships – Strong relationships across customers, including key leadership at store level and one step above
  • Market Insight – Providing market intelligence. Ensuring beeline is aware market trends, issues, concerns, that may impact the district
  • Talent and Team Development – District is comprised of A-player talent
  • Team Performance – District has clear objectives aligned with business outcomes, receives consistent feedback against those objectives, and receives appropriate consequences (+/-) based on their performance

First Year Critical Outcomes:

  • Onboarding – Develop rapid cultural understanding and assessment through individual interactions with staff and partners. (First 30 Days)
  • Assessment of their people, their market and development a roadmap to successfully close any gaps related to business execution (First 60 Days)
  • Gap Closure of issues observed and roadmap strategy fully executed (First 120 Days)
  • Workforce Recruitment/Team development– Execute a scalable workforce recruitment/succession plan for territory’s mobile-merchandiser position, ensuring a fully-staffed and dedicated work team of A- players. (First 120 days)

Critical Experiences:

  • Experience managing a remote team that utilizes technology to execute primary job duties
  • Experience working in an environment with moderate to heavy travel requirements
  • Demonstrated proficiency using a process-driven and regimented approach
  • Moderate proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Demonstrated experience working in client-facing environment(s), with multiple and simultaneous customers/partners
