North Spring Behavioral Healthcare, Inc. is an 87-bed Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility for children 9 to 17 and 15-bed Acute Psychiatric Hospital for children 7 to 17. We also offer a Partial Hospitalization Program and Intensive Outpatient Services for children and adolescents. All services are licensed by the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services and Joint Commission accredited. We additionally have capacity expansions planned for completion over the next 12 months due to the high demand for our services. North Spring is currently recruiting for a Director of Plant Operations to join our senior management team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serves as Safety Officer and assists in development, implementation, and monitoring of facility wide safety management program. As such, is also responsible for ensuring resident transportation is effectively maintained.
- Supervises and directs the operation of Plant Operations. Develops preventative maintenance program; ensures physical plant and the facility are environmentally and physically safe; manages daily, weekly work order system to insure maximum customer service; manages outside contracts which are inter-related with total plant operations; oversees departmental budget both in monthly operations issues and Capital Expense processes. Trains Plant Operation staff in safe operation of facility and customer service.
- Supervises and directs Environmental Services; insures proper staffing levels, fiscal and physical, to insure safe, clean, and appropriate care for residents and staff in areas; keep informed of changes and improvements in processes and chemical for optimum housekeeping service to the facility. Assists with training of housekeeping staff in quality care and customer service to the facility.
- Supervises and directs the operation of Food and Nutrition Services Department. Insures proper production, service, and management of food service operations; oversees proper fiscal operation and required safe food handling processes as well as continually insuring nutritious, appropriate foods for residents and staff; oversees and plans production of special event needs. Facilitates training of food services staff in quality food service.
- Trains staff in safe operation of facility transportation and security while insuring quality customer service. (If applicable)
- Primary contact for IT related matters at the facility.

Job Requirements:
- Bachelorâs degree preferred.
- Prefer a minimum of three years closely related experience.
- Prior hospital experience is helpful.
- Must pass criminal background investigation and drug screen.
