The Production & Risk Services team is looking for a seasoned DevOps lead for our equity electronic trading platform. We support fast-paced global businesses with evolving needs and requirements. Your ability to take ownership of ensuring delivery of high quality solutions combined with a natural sense of curiosity and pride in a job well done will help your success in the role.
What will you do?
- Partner closely with Electronic Sales & Trading, Algorithm, Product and Development teams to improve the stability, resiliency and latency of our electronic trading platforms.
- Proactive management and governance of our trading platforms through a systematic metrics based approach to drive improved scalability and performance.
- Ensuring maximum system availability and rapid and precise remediation to issues with a bias towards automated system responses rather than the need for manual intervention.
- Participate in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to help drive high quality solutions with a steady focus on maximizing the client experience.
- Leverage automation to drive efficiency and to improve the soundness of our operating environment.
- Ensure strict adherence to standard operating procedures, standing order guidelines, and governance best practices.
- Lead effective knowledge sharing, documentation, and cross training to help maximize connectivity
- Provide effective release, incident, and problem management analysis.
What do you need to succeed? (Requirements)
- Previous work experience in a similar role and having successfully led major transformation of algorithmic electronic execution platforms.
- Prior in-depth experience in managing large-scale, mission critical, global electronic trading platforms
- Solid command of equities and electronic execution domain.
- Proficient in Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) and continuous testing.
- Must be extremely hands on, detail oriented, assertive and proactive.
- Proven ability to collaborate well with others including on long-term strategically initiatives.
- Consistently seeking to automate; Strong scripting skills (i.e., Python, PERL, etc.)
- Solid working understanding of Linux and SQL (including database concepts)
- Good organization skills, ability to effectively context switch and thrive in a fast pace environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and self-starter attitude.
- Bachelors of Science degree or equivalent.
