Director, Accounting & Finance (Brewery & Restaurants)

The Director of Finance and Accounting will serve as a strategic partner providing business decision and accounting & finance support. This individual will assist in the preparation of financial models, business unit and corporate level reporting packages and analysis to support strategic decisions including long term plan and budget, deal analysis, business decision support activities. Such activities include preparing and presenting decks with strategic analyses, financials, key performance indicators and underlying assumptions for the different lines of business. This individual will perform FP&A activities including budgeting and re-forecast process. This individual will also assist with the preparation of consolidated financial reports and decks, including cause of change and risks & opportunities analyses. This individual will also oversee day-to-day accounting area which include timely & accurate close, cash, credit & collections, accounts payable, accounts receivable, audit requests, overhead and month-end close activities for each brand.

Job Responsibilities

• Support preparation of brand business plans and analyses.
• Assist with monthly deck presentations for Management.
• Understand all lines of business key metrics and strategic direction.
• Prepare financial models and strategic analyses.
• Collaborate to prepare dashboards to track KPIs of different lines of business.
• Review and approve P&L/Cash Flow submissions and Cause of Change.
• Assist with consolidating financial reporting deck presentations.
• Oversee and direct monthly accounting tasks.
• Provides accounting guidance.
• Oversee essential accounting close responsibilities, including preparation, analysis, and review of account balances, monthly reconciliations and cost allocations and reporting.
• Primary lead in preparation of monthly variance explanations.
• Assess policies and processes, while making recommendations to gain efficiencies, streamline workflow and improve reporting.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or MBA Preferred.
• Minimum of ten (10) years of work experience in an accounting and finance function as well as previous experience in Hospitality and Food & Beverage.
• Excellent financial modeling and analytical skills.
• Hands-on operator to run JDE reports and load financials, manipulate large volumes of data, and enter journal entries.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Must be comfortable with ambiguity and fast paced environment.
• Detailed oriented, able to multi-task and handle multiple projects & data points.
• Strong accounting and problem- solving skills, and the ability to execute new projects in conjunction with normal activities.
• Self-started, results-oriented, reliable, adaptable, and ability to make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
• Proven success collaborating with multiple stakeholders.
• Comfortable working with highly confidential information.
