Full Job Description

Are you a highly skilled scrum master that has a passion for Information Security? Use your expertise to help us craft the next generation of our Agile Security program. You will work closely with our Information Security teams to champion agile principles and processes, aligning the overall security efforts with business goals and ongoing operations. Help us re-think what it means to be a secure insurance provider delivering capabilities in a fast-changing, highly competitive market.


What you’ll do:

  • Lead an Agile information security team from backlog grooming and planning activities through engineering, testing, and release deployment with responsibility for all aspects of a team productivity
  • Lead the Agile cadence activities within the Information Security Scrum framework, ensuring participation from team members and key partners
  • You will remove and or guide the team to remove impediments by finding the right personnel to remove the obstacle
  • You will shield the team from outside distractions and interferences
  • You will develop and lead team release plans and sprint plans; maintaining visual progress metrics indicating velocity, burn-down, etc.
  • You will assist with internal and external communication, improving transparency
  • You will run retrospectives and drive the team to implement the process improvements identified during those meetings
  • Provide all support to the team using a servant leadership style whenever possible
  • Coach the team on Agile practices to continue to build maturity of the team


What you’ve done:

  • You have experience in Agile Methodologies with three years in the Scrum Master role
  • Five years of project management or software development management experience
  • You have knowledge of and experience with agile methodology and frameworks like Scrum, Kanban, XP, etc.
  • Knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games
  • You demonstrate good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency
  • You have effective leadership, coaching and collaboration skills
  • CSM (Certified SCRUM Master) or ACP (Agile Certified Practitioner) certification


What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, MIS or Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • You will be self-directed, self-motivated with demonstrated confidence and professionalism in approach
  • You have the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities, assignments, and roles
  • Ability to communicate your ideas and solutions in simple language (business jargon not needed) to your team, and executives
