As the CTO for a Healthcare IT organization, you will be responsible for the entire information technology and telecommunications functions of the organization. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated knowledge of current healthcare requirements and trends, as well as strong strategic thinking abilities.

The ideal candidate would have started in Development as a code writer, worked her or his way up the Development ranks to VP and then have taken over IT and done the combined CTO role for long enough to prove they can successfully lead and optimize both groups.
We’re looking for a person who can transform our Development organization as an expert while having strong enough IT skills to put together a team that will make our IT infrastructure outstanding. We need someone who has moved at least part of their IT infrastructure to the cloud (AWS, Azure or similar).
The winning candidate will have the gravitas, communication skills, Rolodex and business knowledge to effectively support both the sales team and communications with our board and firms that may want to acquire Company when we go to market again in a few years. The ideal person might have big company experience, but would have done the CTO role in a much smaller firm where they had to succeed without hundreds of staff to call upon.
- Managing and overseeing IT processes including: system applications, training, systems maintenance and recovery, back-up, security, new system implementations and interfaces
- Acting as HIPPA Compliance officer for the organization
- Overseeing technical aspects of the organization’s website
- Oversight of Company’s various applications
- Interacting with internal and external management including department heads, vendors, and their teams
- Supervising and actively participating in project-based work
- Experience leading both development and technology(IT), having successfully scaled a business from $35M revenue to 2-3X that size
- At least a 4 yr college degree preferably in software development.
Required Skills
- Requires prior healthcare a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or a related field or equivalent experience. A Master’s degree in Health/Hospital Administration, Public Health, or Business Administration, or related field is highly desirable.
