Bishop Gadsden Episcopal Retirement Community, a Life Plan CCRC located in Charleston, SC has retained Druthers Agency to locate a Vice President of Operations (COO) for the community. Situated on over 100 acres of lush marshlands and majestic oaks on James Island, just 10 minutes from downtown Charleston, this well-regarded community serves over 500 residents in all levels of care (IL, AL, MC, SNF). In addition, Home Care services are available to the Independent Living residents. Residents are knowledgeable and highly involved in community life, placing a premium on clear and cogent communication. The department heads are all stable and dedicated, and will look to the Vice President of Operations for guidance and support while continuing their tradition of outstanding service.
The campus will be undertaking substantial repositioning and expansion projects over the next several years, including a complete replacement of the Health Care Center and a reconfiguration of the Assisted Living apartments, and the Vice President of Operations will have a major role in these efforts. This will require a high degree of visibility, strong project management and troubleshooting abilities, and excellent communication skills. Demonstrated fluency in Emotional Intelligence will be important as well. A background in Health Care Administration would be highly desired; a Masters degree would be preferred. Salary and benefits are quite strong, and relocation support will be provided for this role.
