Job Title: Vice-President of Indirect Lending Services
Reports To: Executive Vice President
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Vice President of Indirect Lending Services is responsible for the supervision of the Indirect Lending Operations which includes the Credit and Funding Departments. This position will create, implement and carry-out policies and procedures in order to achieve overall efficiency in the production of indirect loans for our Credit Union clients. This position will work closely with department managers to gain higher performance levels and help the company reach our funding goals. This position will be instrumental in establishing and maintaining key relationships with our dealer and credit union clients.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Work with Executive Vice President to maintain an accurate and effective Loan Policy.
· Work with Credit Manager to oversee efforts of Credit Department to ensure underwriting standards are adhered to and satisfactory customer service levels are maintained.
· Work with Funding Manager to oversee efforts of Funding Department to ensure quality loan production is upheld and quality customer service is provided.
· Serve as project management lead on the creation and implementation of new programs as it relates to Credit and Funding.
· Work with Customer Support Specialist to continually provide training and feedback for all employees within the Credit and Funding Departments.
· Develop, nurture and maintain an excellent relationship with the lending staff at all CUAC credit unions. Establish a trusting rapport with loan officers and lending VPs that will assist CUAC in the placement of loans.
· Assist EVP and Customer Support Specialist with APS clients with support issues.
· Cultivate and maintain superb relationships with CUAC dealerships. Focusing on customer service will aid CUAC in maximizing dealer potential.
· Work with EVP and executive staff in order to implement and carry out strategic objectives.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Develop strong customer relationships with dealers and Credit Unions.
· Assist the department manager(s) in strengthening their management skills.
· Plan, coordinate, oversee the day to day operations of departments.
· Assist EVP with development if annual division budgets.
· Establish monthly goals for departments.
· Plan for increasing volumes and rapid growth.
· Cross-train for workflow consistency and advancement of personnel.
· Review the daily performance of the department and make changes where appropriate.
· Create job descriptions and goal-based performance measures for individuals, teams and department (with the department manager assistance).
· Perform job performance reviews for department manager and assist managers with employee reviews when necessary.
· Responsible for division results.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITES:
· Supervise, train and mentor Credit Manager & Funding Manager.
· Oversee department managers in the development of Credit and Funding staff members.
· Establish performance measures and work to increase overall departmental efficiency.
· Conduct Employee Performance Evaluations.
· Assist EVP with oversight of Dealer Representatives on Credit & Funding related issues.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year College or university plus five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from group’s managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to define problems collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, email and internet applications.
FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY:
Responsible for Divisional Budget and limits within CUAC’s Authority Guide.
