VICE PRESIDENT OF HOUSING DEVELOPMENT
SUMMARY : The Vice President of Community Development reports to the Chief Housing
Development Officer and oversees all efforts to provide the resources needed to fulfill the mission of
Step Up on Second.
DUTIES: Primary duties include, but are not limited to the following:
Leads and manages all the ongoing functions of the housing team including; o new permanent supportive housing developments with partnership entities, o property management functions and staff, including all resident manager operations; o asset management functions and staff; o compliance issues related to our housing projects.
Works with our development partners on financial models and application for capital funding and vouchers, property management plans, homeless housing design, compliance requirements
Staffs the Housing Committee of the Board of Directors.
Participates on the SUOS Executive Team.
Prepares the annual departmental operating budget.
Facilitates effective working relationships with internal and external key teams and team leaders.
Other duties as assigned.
REPORTS TO: Chief Housing Development Officer
HOURS: 40 hours per week
CLASSIFICATION: Exempt
SALARY: DOE

EXPERIENCE: Successful track record of increasing responsibility and positive results in the development of resources, and in the highly effective management of staff.
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree and 10 plus years experience.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands and fingers; handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk; and hear. The employee is frequently required to walk, balance, stoop, kneel, and/or crouch. (The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds). Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Keyboard data entry required.
