Job Summary:

This VP role is in the Global Financial Crimes Division of MUFG Bank, Ltd. The role will be dedicated to assessing and reviewing identified gaps in the Bank’s financial crime compliance framework (“issues”) originated by Bank employees, compliance testing, internal audit, and regulators, along with other relevant information and documents. The Financial Crime Issue Analysis Vice President will be responsible for producing actionable analyses in the form of forward-looking reporting and analysis to senior management, risk committees and other partners, including global and regional heads of the Bank’s anti-money laundering, sanctions, and anti-bribery & corruption programs.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop a familiarity with the MUFG financial crimes compliance risk management framework, regulatory regimes in which MUFG operates, and MUFG’s products and services to aid issue analysis and provide context to risk insights
  • Review and assess existing and new issues identified by Bank employees, compliance testing, internal audit, regulators and other sources to evaluate potential systemic risks or anomalous activity that may need broader risk mitigation plans
  • Maintain current knowledge of important financial crime-related geopolitical and regulatory developments to aid analysis
  • Issue forward-looking analytical reports and give presentations based on analysis of issues and current events
  • Support general compliance activities and other duties, including special projects as assigned

Qualifications:


Qualifications:

  • 7 plus years of experience in Financial Services with subject matter experience in Financial Crimes Compliance (anti-money laundering, sanctions, and bribery/corruption)
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Confirmed analytical skills
  • Skilled user of Excel, Sharepoint, data visualization and other tools
  • International work experience
  • Team-oriented approach to completing objectives
  • Strong ability to drive complex discussions with MUFG management and stakeholders
  • BA/BS Degree; ACAMS or relevant professional qualification is a plus
  • Regulatory experience a plus
  • Up to 10% travel, international and domestic
