Qualifications & Responsibilities
The Vice President, Data – Business Development will be responsible for achieving Epsilon Data’s strategic and financial objectives across multiple verticals. We are looking for a seasoned leader who will guide our rapidly growing team of hunters to success. The sales leader will be actively engaged in strategic and operational planning activities for the market. The position will report to the SVP, Data Practice. The sales leader will drive new business opportunities. The successful candidate will bring a strong functional skill base, a track record of delivering results, and good interpersonal and organizational skill sets.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Interfaces with client at all levels within existing and prospective account(s)
- Consults with customers to fully understand their needs
- Identifies and leads the pursuit of the targeted new business opportunities within target accounts
- Leverages a client-diagnostic sales strategy and consultative approach to uncover client specific issues and/or opportunities
- Identifies and manages resources to develop proposals that position the full range of Epsilon’s capabilities & solutions to customers
- Collaborates with Epsilon’s executive team and subject matter experts to jointly present proposals
- Monitors delivery, implementation, and customer satisfaction
- Is knowledgeable of competitive environment
Knowledge & Skills
- Able to communicate effectively with direct manager and Executive Management Team; and synthesize relevant information on key milestones, success criteria, and risks.
- Able to lead team without direct supervision, demonstrated ability to work remotely with little oversight and the ability to forge relationships across a geographically dispersed organization
- Able to recognize and manage new business line opportunities.
- Drive and execute vertical level strategies and input into overall Data strategy.
- Expertise in the respective market verticals.
- Able to interact with customers, sales team, and influence peers and management.
- Able to learn quickly and rapidly establish expertise with the company standard and client-specific solutions.
- Macro Management of multiple markets.
- Extensive knowledge of compiled, self-reported and specialty data assets
- Extensive knowledge of offline data assets and applying them within the digital landscape (display, social, addressable TV, etc.)
- Ability to negotiate complex business deals, contracts, pricing arrangements, etc.
- Develops and implements key team metrics for team.
- Exceptional business acumen.
- Industry thought leadership.
- Advanced organization agility and political savvy
- Refine the sales methodology and influence the overall go to market strategy
- Be the cultural and inspirational leader

- Participate in Epsilon senior leader meetings
- Overseeing and ensure development of opportunities/gap plans to meet or exceed target

- A positive attitude coupled with a sense of urgency and a willingness to always learn
- Active leadership within industry organizations.
Technical Requirements
- Strong working knowledge of Salesforce.com and ability to accurately forecast existing and future business on a weekly basis
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite of products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- This should be any qualification that has to do with technology experience (i.e. Microsoft products, Adobe products or any other specific software or program experience)
Experience
- Minimum of 15+ years of experience with significant leadership and new business development experience required
- Well connected via LinkedIn and/or industry specific professional organizations
Education
- Bachelors or MBA preferred
- DMA Certification preferred
