Job Summary:
Responsible for revenue growth and client retention for an assigned group of international relationships. Participate in business strategy and product development with emphasis on global capabilities. Liaise with sales teams on prospecting and lead generation; determine service commitment readiness; and assess the adequacy of pricing proposals. Network with MUFG affiliates; create cross-selling and marketing programs in support of revenue targets. Participate in industry events and associations.
Major Responsibilities:
- Business Development 45% Analyze revenue opportunities by product and target market. Develop marketing channels for sales staff within affiliate organizations and the broader business community. Set pricing structures for products/services offered in consultation with Business Line Manager. Implement joint calling program and bring business line expertise to the sales process.
- Relationship Management/Client Retention 45% Develop relationship plans for clients; identify new revenue opportunities and propose improvements in service delivery to key relationships. Proactively advise and consult with clients. Negotiate with clients and their legal counsel on final contracts and legal documents. Guide client service teams and internal support departments in handling complex international accounts.
- Service Upgrades & Product Champion 10% Lead or service as member of special projects as needed for service enhancements or in response to changes in market practices, industry initiatives or technology upgrades to provide current and critical industry knowledge and to convey client expectations specific to an international customer base. Risk Management: The employee will be expected to demonstrate a commitment to, implement, and follow policies and procedures that support the Bank’s Risk Vision, including the Bank’s anti-money laundering (AML), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), and other relevant operational, compliance and other risk management-related requirements as appropriate. The employee is expected to further a culture of risk and compliance discipline, which includes, but is not limited to, maintaining compliance with Bank and business process-related policies and procedures, exhibiting a basic understanding of the risks associated with the employee’s position, escalating issues of risk concern to management, and maintaining appropriate data integrity and confidentiality with regard to all customer files and business transactions.
Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with team members with financial sophistication.
- Japanese or second language fluency desirable.
