Scrum Master Opportunity

Contribute Your Valued Perspective at a Rapidly Growing, Continuously Innovating Organization that Offers a Fun, Supportive Environment and a Foundation to Grow Your Career

Help develop the industry-leading solution for the healthcare payer market. Join our team at ClarisHealth in challenging the traditional paper-based, time- and labor-intensive audit and data mining methods and make an impact on the evolution of claims payment recovery.

You are interested in becoming ClarisHealth’s first formal and fully dedicated Scrum Master.

You have at least 2 years of experience as a Scrum Master, potentially hatched from your previous Project Management, Business Analysis or Software Development career.

You may have obtained a Scrum Master Certification or other Agile Certification or formal training. If so, that may set you apart, but it not required.

You are looking for a unique opportunity to help mold the future state of an organization by applying your commitment to quality, conviction for process, passion for team goal attainment along with your knowledge of Scrum and other Agile implementations such as Kanban. You are driven by the opportunities to remove obstacles and drive progress and gain ground through incremental wins. You are naturally curious and your commitment to the people around you has been at the center of your professional achievements.

As our first Scrum Master you will join our organization during a time of rapid and compelling growth. You will lead and drive Agile/Scrum meetings, rituals and process improvements across 3 development teams (2 onshore and 1 offshore). Your core focus will be:

  • Guiding the teams operations by facilitating ceremonies (e.g. daily standup, sprint planning) and instilling Agile principles into daily activities to ensure smooth functioning of the delivery team
  • Assessing the Scrum maturity of the team and organization and coaching the team to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organization
  • Acting as a buffer between the team and process overhead, so each team member can focus on the timely delivery of software
  • Administration, coaching and leadership that make Scrum development/delivery possible
  • Working with business partners to identify and implement multiple and complex technical systems and/or products of varying sizes
  • Shielding the team from interruptions and removes obstacles that may impact the delivery of the product
  • Ensure team is well-informed on internal and external initiatives and activities

You care about facilitating production and improvement while enabling growth not only at the team level, but also at the individual and organizational level. You are willing to speak up when challenge or defense is needed but you know how to balance the need for disruption with the long term cohesion needed to deliver results.

You fully acknowledge and appreciate the value of criticism both delivered and received and you are capable of positioning critique within the framework of progress and shared goal attainment. You appreciate and leverage the capabilities and ideas of others and you enjoy working effectively with those of diverse styles, abilities and motivations. You are a born facilitator and have come to realize when to be present and when your absence is what is needed. You have the foresight to identify and remove obstacles and impediments to success but also understand the value of strategic failures in change management.

So you are interested in this opportunity for substantive impact? Given our size and rapid growth, this critical role offers an opportunity for substantial achievement through the success of your team.

Through collaboration, trust, transparent knowledge sharing and a deliberate approach to communication through technology, we believe you will find a foundation here to grow beyond your current expectations.
