Position Overview
The production Manager oversees the activities of the production department. Makes sure production schedules and quality standards are met. Responsible for safety of all employees in department. Administers company policies to department. Assist in hiring process for production. Responsible succession planning for production.
Key Position Responsibilities
- Meeting of the production schedules, rates and quality standards
- Ensure production rates and goals are met or exceeded
- Maintaining of production safety record
- Controlling of costs for production
- Maintaining of training records and performance evaluations for production
- Continual employee development
- Oversee and ensure safety of team
- Administer company policy
- Succession planning for production
- Responsible for continuous improvement and cost control of the group â Scrap and rework improvements, control cost of manufacturing process, prepare material and present monthly and quarterly meetings
- Manage supervisors, update training records, assist in hiring for departments, set goals and track progress of department
- Manpower Planning/Production Plan execution
- Track and improve overtime
- Track and improve 5s program
Critical Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
- Strong leadership ability
- Understand and lead according to MIS staples
- Good communication (verbal and written)
- Strong problem solving skills
- Intermediate Computer Skills (MS Office)
- Basic Financial understanding
Education and Training
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5-7 years of supervisory experience
- Basic Supervisory Training
