Overview
Responsibilities
- Pro-actively review all safety and health potential issues in areas of responsibility. Identify workplace hazards, investigate incidents, educate all direct reports on established safety requirements, and ensure ongoing compliance with applicable safety related policies and procedures. Partner with Occupational Safety, Directors, and HR to establish annual safety goals and plans initiatives to achieve those goals.
- Drive a culture of quality throughout manufacturing and hold subordinates accountable for results that meet Tiffany & Co. quality standards. Recommend/implement process improvements.
- To drive cost reduction and cost management, to remain in a competitive position in the marketplace. Effectively control cost through utilization of personnel, materials and equipment. Coordinate with peer leadership in preparation of annual operating budgets and capital equipment requests. Responsible for accurate and timely communication with internal/external customers. Develop and report monthly operating metrics.
- Identify and manage the implementation of process improvement and optimization initiatives utilizing lean manufacturing principles, problem solving and leadership throughout the facility. Champion the implementation of new products by removing obstacles and providing the appropriate level of support to maximize opportunities setting optimal targets, methods and metrics.
- To ensure that daily tasks are executed while providing superior customer service and maintaining a strategic focus for the Internal Manufacturing organization, including continuous improvement.
- To effectively lead and manage the workforce, focusing on the development of future leaders. Coach and develop staff successfully through clearly established goals on annual performance management process. Routinely assess Production Supervisor for overall effectiveness as per the TCO competencies.
- Oversee weekly/monthly production projections resulting in monthly on-time finished goods. Oversight responsibility of factory capacity plan to support the master production schedule. Provide coaching/support to address/resolve escalated conflicts regarding scheduling, production and personnel. Accountable for on-time delivery of demand plan.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor degree and 10 years of experience or equivalent combination in leading and managing manufacturing/supply chain organizations

Experience and success with process improvements including utilizing continuous process disciplines such as lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma.

Strong leadership and people management capabilities with cross-functional organizational effectiveness
-
Experience in metal manufacturing, CNC
-
Technically proficient to understand and interpret drawings
-
Dedicated to providing outstanding customer service and operational excellence
-
Knowledge of safety programs, standard operation procedures, job hazard analysis, accident investigations and other operations related programs/protocol
-
5+ years experience working with CNC or machine operators

Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities

Strong decision making skills

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications:

Management, Business or Engineering Degree preferred

Knowledge of JD Edwards business software
- Ability to communicate in Spanish
