POSITION OVERVIEW
The Finance Vice President – Retail Leader a valued business partner that will help drive the Retail business and partner with the SVP/GM of the Retail Business Unit and Retail Industry Global Sales Leader. The Retail Finance Leader will play a key role as part of the Business Unit’s leadership team as the chief financial spokesperson for the organization, with full responsibility for the organization’s financial activities and management of Retail Business Revenue in access of $2B. This role is an operational finance executive reporting to and partnering with NCRs Corporate CFO to drive profitable growth for this critical business segment while simultaneously and expeditiously able to identify operational and process efficiencies that will enable a more thorough analysis of business results. Will lead a team by providing direction in financial reporting, financial planning, control, and systems. The Retail Finance Leader will also partner with the senior management team to analyze market issues, develop strategy, support deal negotiation, pricing decisions, and contract resolution.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage a global team of senior financial professionals (Senior Manager/Director Level) who provide in region finance business partnering to the local Retail team, in the form of financial direction and decision support, in financial planning, forecasting, and reporting.
- Effectively partner closely with cross functional leaders as well as shared service teams.
- Partner with the Retail Business Unit’s senior leadership to identify and execute actions that drive profitable growth, gain market share, improve operational efficiencies and increase productivity.
- Position responsible for preparing, consolidating, and analyzing financial outlooks, operating results, and leading the development of strategic long-range and annual financial plans for the Retail Business Unit. Responsible for managing all financial analysis and planning support to the business leaders, including preparing and delivering presentations for Retail Leadership globally.
- Provide strong decision support and leadership during M&A activity, pricing, bid review, outlook, Accounts Receivables, OCR and revenue recognition discussions. Process set-up, creation and optimization (working cross functionally as required) on all financial processes that impact the results of Retail.
- Demonstrate mastery and application of various financial models and a strong knowledge of industry, competitors and NCR solution offerings across multiple countries / areas; deep understanding of revenue recognition guidance (including ASC606; SW specific guidance)
- Responsible for identifying opportunity profit pools and alternative sales solutions; Recommend pricing strategies to senior management considering competition, selling strategy and solution positioning
- Lead monthly forecasting and weekly pulse process for the supported organization to include financial and performance analysis
- Work with multiple functional areas; Interface with multiple levels of management; breadth to cover business partnering with business leaders across NCR; Leading business processes, process definition and creation to address evolving requirements, preparing results reporting and mitigating, and reporting internal issues.
- Responsible for administration and oversight of NCR’s Quota setting process for the businesses supported; governance, ongoing management, SME for guidance to NCR sales managers.
- Lead the finance team members and direct talent management matters such as talent acquisition, organizational structure, defining objectives and measuring performance, recognizing, rewarding, and creating a culture where employees are engaged.
