Responsible for the implementation and oversight of the ambulatory surgery center strategic plan and goals. Organizes and directs all clinical and business activities relative to ambulatory surgical services and assumes responsibility and accountability for all administrative and operational functions regarding the safe provision of patient care. Responsible for assuring that all staff is competent to accomplish the assigned duties. Holds fiscal accountability for department budget. Provides an environment for medical and nursing collaboration for provision of efficient and effective care. In collaboration with the Board of Managers and the Chief Nursing Officer, participates in the marketing, operations, quality initiatives and regulatory compliance services to ensure quality of care and services provided to patients and families. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with the mission and values.
Education Requirements and Other Requirements:
Education Level: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN required, MSN preferred.
Certification/Licensure: Illinois RN license required, BLS, ACLS and PALS required (or obtained after hire)
Experience Requirements: Minimum of 8 years clinical experience in Surgical Services required;
previous management experience required; experience with management of an ambulatory surgical treatment center preferred
