Summary of Position:
The Director of Operations provides leadership and manages day to day operations of our clinical sites. The role has responsibility for driving efficiencies and financial performance while maintaining our high-level client satisfaction scores and employee engagement. This position will be a member of the Senior Leadership team and will contribute at a strategic level, while also being able to execute agreed upon initiatives into the field. This role will be a liaison with the PROS (Veterinarian) team for training and providing support as needed. This position will also have responsibility for technology initiatives for the organization and play a key role in our technology platform.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Client Experience
· Represent and champion PetCure Oncology mission and vision in all interactions.
· Ensure client experience is at the forefront of all processes that occur from first touch point to follow-up.
· Troubleshoot with local team any issues that may occur with a client or potential clients.
· Measure client experience and maintain Net Promoter Score above 85.
Team Leadership, Training and Development
- Foster a collaborative and trusting relationship at each clinic and between teams, engaging in dialogue to facilitate continuous improvement.
- An eye for talent, ability to hire individuals that are driven to succeed and rooted in our Mission.
- Ability to coach and mentor talent and have critical and sometimes difficult conversations regarding performance up to and including termination.
- Develop and execute training and development programs for each position that has patient access and interface.
- Lead, direct, mentor and develop staff at clinics to ensure hospitals have effective and engaged local leadership. Ensure a culture of self-development is present to support the future growth of the organization.
- Ensure a system is in place that documents training for all employees.
Operational Effectiveness
- Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) for PetCure Oncology sites to ensure processes are effective and client friendly.
- Ensure standards for service quality, equipment, and clinician productivity/performance are met and cost-effective technology is used to maximize capacity.
- Ensure fixed assets are preserved and service, initiate recommendations for purchases of new equipment and improvements.
- Ensure all technology is working and staff understands the need to use technology for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Critical member of the team in opening new centers to ensure the appropriate staff, systems, processes, and training are executed on-time.
- Vendor management and contract negotiation as needed and in collaboration with other members of the executive team.
Financial Performance
- In partnership with the Practice Directors, you will monitor the clinics Key Performance Indicator’s (KPI’s) and be responsible for the financial performance of each site.
- Manage costs, staffing hours, supplies, production compensation.
Work Experience & Education:
7+ years of experience in an operational role in the veterinary industry
3+ years of experience in managing people
Previous experience in working in a setting where you were responsible for efficient processes and training and development.
Ability to travel 30-40% of the time, initial travel may be more while building relationships with each site.
Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

· Ability to work within tight deadlines
