Manage flow of goods and services from raw materials to finished goods, including purchasing, production control, shipping, and inventory management in order to achieve company targets and minimize risks to customer delivery.


CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop monthly production plans, monitor progress of plans, and develop countermeasures when deviation to plans are noted

  • Monitor and approve purchases necessary for production.
  • Develop and negotiate cost reduction plans for raw materials and other supply items.
  • Manage material price variances
  • Interact directly with manufacturing to develop schedules to meet customer demand
  • Develop inventory targets by product, oversee attainment of targets, and develop plans to achieve
  • Oversight of semiannual inventory efforts
  • Manage import/export program
  • Develop risk management and contingency plans related to Supply Management
  • Participate in budgeting process with plant managers.
  • Manage direct reports within the production control and purchasing function.
  • Participate in developing capacity models for the strategic planning process. Also work with suppliers on capacity models.
