    Function: Raise financial support from medium and large foundations and corporations to help resource the many international ministries and ministry partners of AMG International and Word 2 Act.

    The Director of Foundation Engagement will identify potential foundations and corporations that may have an interest in the various international ministries and ministry partners of AMG International and Word 2 Act, develop relationships with potential and current funders, prepare and submit grant proposals, and provide funding impact reports. This position will contribute to the securing of funds for programmatic and capital needs, working in collaboration with a small group of fundraising professionals who focus on other potential donors such as private individuals, churches and institutional donors. 

    Responsibility:

    1) Responsible for analyzing and discovering potential funders and developing and managing grant requests related to relevant strategic programs and projects of AMG International and Word 2 Act in close cooperation with key administrators and project leaders of these respective organizations.

    2) Provide guidance from experience and information gathered at Word 2 Act and AMG International regarding strategic decisions that should be made to ensure synergetic matches between programs, projects and donors.

    3) Focus on relationship building, research, grant preparations, grant presentation and stewardship.

    4) Contribute to joint fundraising initiatives with other internal stakeholders as applicable.

    5) Conduct prospect research to identify, cultivate and solicit new grants.

    6) Write high-quality letters of inquiry (LOIs), compelling grant proposals and persuasive presentations of those proposals.

    7) Manage the proposal submission process to ensure timely submission of all required materials.

    8) Develop and maintain a comprehensive proposal and stewardship calendar, seeking to effectively cultivate relations between AMG International, Word 2 Act, and foundation/corporate funding partners.

    9) Perform other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    1) Bachelor’s Degree in communications, English writing or similar field, or equivalent experience required.

    2) Demonstrated ability to innovate and write successful grant proposals

    3) Passion for international ministries

    4) Motivated self-starter, ability to work independently in a fast-paced , non-profit environment

    5) High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, Google Suite applications, and grant research platforms, along with strong computer skills

    6) A relevant established professional network preferred

    7) Certification with the American Grant Writers’ Association, the Grant Professional Association, or Certified Fundraising Executive preferred but not required.

    8) Track record in identifying funding opportunities among foundations and corporations through strong research skills
