The Director of Manufacturing for our Lexington, KY, facility will manage and lead the workforce to achieve company goals in delivery, quality, cost and optimization in jewelry manufacturing. The successful individual will build the best team and culture while developing the workforce to be agile and responsive to customer demands. S/he will lead the development of robust processes for new products that enhance our value proposition and enable on-time delivery at cost.


Responsibilities

  • Lead the business to achieve delivery, quality, cost and inventory objectives
  • Lead the introduction of New Product Development with contemporary and integrated engineering and manufacturing processes designed to meet target launch, quality, and cost objectives through the product life-cycle
  • Refine metrics and implement processes that systematize the capital intensive aspects of the facility
  • Demonstrate improvements via predictability of processes and products; reduce product failure expense across manufacturing
  • Improve overall productivity, drive overall productivity improvement using overall efficiency measurements
  • Develop a more flexible workforce through documented, implemented, measured, and sustained training programs
  • Effectively manage, coach and develop manufacturing teams to achieve facility objectives and optimal safety


Qualifications


Required:

  • 10+ years of experience in the manufacturing environment with progressive growth
  • 5+ management/leadership experience
  • Background in world class manufacturing
  • Strong leadership and demonstrated success managing people
  • Demonstrated ability to use data/metrics to drive business decisions
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
  • The ideal candidate will have a degree in business, manufacturing, operations and/or engineering

Preferred:
  • Post graduate studies in Business
  • Experience in process improvement, six sigma, lean manufacturing and jewelery production
