The Human Resources Director functions as the Human Resources (HR) Business Partner for the JBS USA Corporate Headquarters and associated business groups.
Manages activities related to staffing, training, management development, employee relations, affirmative action, benefits administration, and compensation.
The Corporate HRD shall serve as:
- Owner of the corporate talent acquisition function including business unit corporate talent acquisition
- Owner of the entire employment lifecycle (from recruitment through retirement) of corporate team
- Owner of HR administration (compensation, benefits) and compliance (DOL, EEOC, etc.) for the corporate office
- Owner of training and development (Culture &Talent) for the corporate office including the responsibility for planning and implementation of a variety of company training programs, the rollout of corporate programs, leadership training, orientation and soft skills instructional sessions
- Leadership of the JBS Employee Appreciation Team (EAT)
- Owner of safety for the corporate office
Responsibilities:
- The HR Business Partner to address issues, facilitate change management and coordinate smooth and efficient operations.
- Partner with multiple senior business leaders to understand business priorities and translate into effective people plans. Partner with multiple HR leaders in the building and across the country to understand unique business requirements and translate into defendable, guidance that drives more effective business results.
- Translate HR policies and practices into practical labor strategies that support and enable the business to work effectively
- Balance transactional demands with senior business leaders’ need for strategic vision and partnership

HR oversight of operational activities such as
- recommending employee relations practices necessary to establish/maintain positive relationships
- advising managers and supervisors in the progressive discipline process; sourcing and evaluating data on employee relations and employee satisfaction topics (engagement survey, turnover, compensation, benefits, working conditions) and informs management of areas of opportunity
- conducting investigations of employee complaints
- counseling managers on employment issues
- acting as business partner to process improvement & change initiatives
- compensation programs for shared services team members at corporate office (annual bonus and merit)
- performance programs for shared services team members at corporate office (9 box, 360, Goals)
- Determine salaried professional development needs, skill gaps, implementation and evaluation of program effectiveness
- Administer in-house programs to train all levels of employees
- Ensures timely and accurate compliance with mandatory corporate training requirements
- Responsible for delivering, improving, and sustaining new hire orientation program at the Corporate HQ
- Creates and disseminates the communication and coordination of the annual performance management process to ensure that performance is evaluated, that employees are aware of their performance and their development needs required to effectively support business objectives
- Ensure legal compliance to include, OSHA, EEOC, safety, employment, wage & hour, worker’s comp. etc.
- Direct the corporate office EEO and AAP activities
- Responsible for coordinating and implementing HR communications
- Creatively solves problems, makes recommendations, and provides solutions while being a proactive business partner to internal customers
- Leads efforts for talent acquisition and staffing
- Works with HR Compliance and Corporate Legal to ensure consistent application of HR policies and procedures
- Analyze people data in the context of driving business efficiency
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum of 3-5 years Human Resources experience, including team supervision
- Generalist background with a broad knowledge of employment law, employee relations, training and development
- In-depth knowledge of principles/practices of HR administration
- Prior experience with SAP preferred
- Outstanding communication & interpersonal skills
- Proven experience influencing senior leaders and transforming HR practices
- Excellent customer service and follow-through skills
