MedMark is looking for an established leader to be responsible for patient care, management, resource management, and fiscal management. The Clinic director as a member of MedMark’s management team partners in planning, policy formation and administrative decision making with particular reference to the role, functions, and operations of CBOC services. An outstanding candidate will maintain clinic in a safe and comfortable environment for patients, guests and employees while promoting an atmosphere of cooperation, respect and teamwork.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Administers administrative information and records in patient chart.
- Performs patient care tasks including use of equipment such as nebulizers, spirometry, glucometer, centrifuge, AED and EKG machine.
- Interviews patients, measures vital signs, such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight and height and records information into patient’s electronic chart.
- Will key data into computer to update patient records while maintaining patient, employee, and computer data confidentiality.
- Schedule follow-up appointments or change them as needed for providers.
- Answers telephone and intercom calls, providing necessary information or relaying messages to patients or appropriate medical personnel.
- Holds monthly staff meetings and in-service programs as needed
- Initiates the development of and maintains policies and procedures that govern all services.
- Responsible for staff performance, staff recruitment, staff retention and staff development
- Completes daily Encounter action require report for completion
- Manages clinic operations in alignment with fiscal objectives
- Manages clinic operations with respect to staffing/scheduling
- Assures adequate supplies and maintains inventory
- Makes daily/monthly clinic rounds to ensure clinic operations meet JCAHO and OSHA standards for environment of care, correcting any deficiencies immediately
- Manages the building and grounds of the clinic facilities, ensuring compliance with zoning, building, health, and safety licensing or certification requirements.
- Conducts quarterly Fire drill, involving all clinic personnel and submits a synopsis of the drill and corrective action to MedMark Services, Inc. Conducts annually disaster drill, involving all clinic personnel and submits a synopsis of the drill and corrective action to MedMark Services, Inc
- Prepares monthly end of the month reports to monitor variances and participates in the Medmark performance improvement monitors and initiatives
- Participates in appropriate meetings and committees
- Maintains relationship with VA Hospital
- Participates in the MedMark Performance Improvement Plan
- Maintain knowledge and compliance with HIPPA policy and procedures
- Assists with the orientation of new personnel
- Keep up to date with current CDC, OSHA, JCAHO and Bio Hazard, recommendations, standards, rules and regulations
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a manager in a medical setting
- BCLS certified
- Excellent customer service demeanor
- Good computer skills
