    POSITION: CEO/General Manager

    Chandler is a small city in Murray County located 34 miles NW of Worthington, MN (population

    12,764), 42 miles south of Marshall, MN (population 13,680) and 63 miles NE of Sioux Falls, SD

    (population 183,200). Agriculture is the lifeblood of the four – county area (Pipestone, Murray, Rock and

    COMPANY HIGH LIGHTS:

    The board of Directors of this very financially sound $50 million Cooperative headquartered in Chandler,

    MN is seeking a replacement for their retiring CEO-GM. Products and services include: LP gas, petroleum, Farm & Home products and agronomy including dry and liquid fertilizer, NH3, seed, crop protection products and services. With 400,000 gallons of LP storage capacity the Cooperative also operates an automotive shop, 3 Convenience Stores and 3 cardtrol operations. The Cooperative operates facilities & provides services in five different communities including Chandler, Edgerton, Pipestone,

    Slayton and Lake Wilson. They operate 2 bulk petroleum plants and 2 Agronomy service centers: a

    12,000 ton plant in Lake Wilson and a 3,000 ton plant in Edgerton. Four different seed dealership locations market over $17 million in seed sales/year.

    The cooperative is governed by a five – person board of directors. 40 full time employees and up to 60 part-time employees provide excellent service to the member patrons. A full line of employee benefits including a 401K plan and profit – sharing plan is offered to employees.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    Preferred candidates will have an advanced degree or documented experience in lieu of it. Preferred candidates will also have a minimum of 5 years of management level experience and will have experience with agronomy operations and associated services. Experience in LP gas, petroleum and C-Store operations would be helpful. Candidates must possess excellent communication and leadership skills with a thorough understanding of cooperative management, finance, operational controls and strategic planning. Candidates must also be able to manage multiple locations.
