    Job Description

    We are looking for a motivated self-starter for an Assistant Preschool Director position in a childcare setting. The candidate must have strong leadership skills, excellent communication skills, and have a good understanding of age appropriate activities for young children. We intentionally staff our schools with individuals who are talented and genuinely enthusiastic about child development.     As an Assistant Preschool Director, you will:

    • Motivate staff to maximize collaboration, retention and growth
    • Collaborate with the center Director to maintain the day to day operations of the center
    • Partner with parents from enrollment to meeting the educational needs of their children
    • Manage your time as you support multiple classrooms and staff
    • Nurture your leadership skills and grow your career through various opportunities

    Qualifications/Experience:

    • Must meet DE state requirements.
    • Bachelor’s degree or associate degree from a regionally accredited

    college or university OR Administrator’s credential issued by the DOE.

    • Early Childhood Degree or Related Degree
    • 18 months of exp. working with children (birth – second grade) in a group setting.
    • Detail Oriented
    • Strong business management skills.

    • Commitment to Professional Development
    • Development of marketing strategies is a must.
    • Have full complete knowledge of standard office practices.
    • Strong customer service, organization, and listening skills. Above average on verbal and written skills.
    • Possess skills, attributes and characteristics conducive to and suitable for dealing with customers, vendors, team members, and clients.
    • Proficient in MS Office applications including Excel.

    *Salary dependent on experience and level of education.
