We currently have an exciting career opportunity for a Vice President of Business Development. This is a front-line field sales management role accountable for building and leading a team and managing all sales operations related to the sales force in the defined region (NY, NJ, PA & DE). Responsible for leveraging existing relationships with customers as well as develop new business relationships. Proactively create an awareness and presence to ensure that prospective and existing customers are familiar with all Homans products and services. There is no relocation assistance for this position.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop new business opportunities by identifying potential customer accounts, building rapport with key decision makers, and penetrating these accounts within the region with a focus on residential equipment
- Establish clear sales objectives for the week, month, year,
- Responsible for leading, teaching, motivating and inspiring a team of Territory Managers to achieve or exceed sales objectives in their assigned territory
- Drive the strategy and sales for the region, including training and development, resource planning and allocation, and overall performance management of the sales
- Conduct regular field visits and business reviews to ensure that proper programs and messages are being utilized and commitments are followed through on
- Initiate and innovate marketing strategies to increase sales and reduce costs
- Lead, motivate, acknowledge, and inspire TM’s to perform beyond expectations
- Continually monitor and track regional sales performance
- Ensure customer issues are attended to appropriately and efficiently
- Attend cross-functional meetings that will benefit the sales team
- Interact directly with customers to educate them on our products and answer questions
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field preferred
- 3+ years relevant sales experience
- Proven working experience as a business development manager, sales executive or a relevant role. HVAC sales experience a
- Motivated, driven personality with the ability to work autonomously to deliver results
- Exceptional relationship and communication skills
- Professional demeanor and strong work ethic
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities
