Technical Arts Director
At Great Oaks, we believe God has called us to help people take their next step towards God. Great Oaks is a contemporary church located in Central Illinois who is progressive in our worship and methodology, while conservative in our theology.
Our vision of 10 in 10 (10 campuses in 10 years) is a primary focus as we become “one church in multiple locations”. Great Oaks currently has 2 campuses in the Central Illinois area (Washington and Germantown Hills). We are passionate about working together as a team to reach and serve people who live in those two communities, as well as others as we plant campuses over the next decade. We want to win as many people to Christ as possible before Jesus returns. At this time, Great Oaks averages a combined total attendance of approximately 850 in these services. We’ve grown to that attendance (and continue to grow) from just under 600 in the last 2 years.
We are currently looking for a Technical Arts Director to take our Creative Arts Department to the next level.
The Technical Arts Director plays a vital role in fulfilling Great Oaks creative vision. This role requires proficiency in management to lead a multi-disciplinary team responsible for Great Oaks experiences—both physical and digital environments.
Primarily, the Technical Arts Director will relate closely with the Creative Arts Director and CA teams to conceive of and implement strategies that amplify the priorities and passions of Great Oaks. This includes developing and leading a team of volunteers who are responsible for creative content and production of weekend services, special events, and promotional media across the organization.
This role is also responsible for keeping Great Oaks’ creative elements innovative, intentional, engaging, and transformational. All elements should be planned with intentionality and executed with excellence. The Technical Arts Director will be responsible for leading a team that delivers engaging audio, visual, lighting, animations, and digital material that tells a compelling story.
