Kirstin Care, LLC is in search of a director to lead, develop, and grow our Supported Employment Program operating in Prince George’s County. The goal of our Supported Employment Program is to provide job coaching, job development, and ongoing employment support services to individuals with serious mental illness that have had challenges with obtaining competitive employment, sustaining employment, or are no longer employed.

Summary

Kirstin Care, LLC is in search of a professional, experienced administrator to oversee the daily operations, train, and supervise the job coaches of our Supported Employment Program. The right candidate for this position will engage potential employers and staff to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to achieve a quality life in the community. The ideal candidate has a passion for helping others achieve their goals and dreams; and is a proven self-starter and problem-solver with solid organizational skills.

The Director of our Supported Employment Program will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The position develops, implements, and manages a comprehensive set of support services for our adults with mental health issues. The position requires managing the operation of federal, state and local contracts with services provided in the community which provide jobs for people supported by Kirstin Care LLC. This position will oversee Planning; Organizational Design and Development; and Management for the Supported Employment Program and contracts.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field – relevant Master’s Degree Preferred
  • 5 to 10 years of successful professional, administrative and supervisory experience required
  • Proof of US citizenship or legal immigration status
  • Acceptable criminal background and reference check
  • Must have experience working with DORS!!!!

Responsibilities:

  • Define financial, material, human resource trends and needs of the people supported by the department.
  • Prepare planning and implementation documents that work in conjunction with Kirstin Care LLC’s Strategic Plan.
  • Prepare annual departmental budget.
  • Coordinate functions of the department relative to other agency units to insure smooth implementation of planned activities.

Development

  • Assess specific department organization, staff and individual needs in relation to established plans.
  • Design and develop recommendations for an organizational structure to facilitate planned objectives.
  • Develop policies and procedures to facilitate implementation of planned goals and objectives.
  • Communicate planned goals and objectives to staff, program participants, parents/advocates, government officials and relevant agencies.
  • Develop and implement service programs, research projects and business activities reflecting assessed needs and plans, with approval of the CEO.
  • Identify grants and philanthropy opportunities to support Kirstin Care LLC’s Fundraising Plan.

Management

  • Direct the implementation of all activities and systems to support a program model that moves people towards meaningful community activities and employment.
  • Manage operation of federal, state and local service contracts to include development of contract proposals, ensuring compliance with federal and state contract mandates, fiscal management and monitoring quality of service delivery.
  • Provide ongoing supervision and monitoring of staff and activities to insure systemized implementation of goals, program systems and licensure/regulatory requirements.
  • Direct the training, evaluation, promotion, hiring, orientation and discharge of the department staff as outlined in Kirstin Care LLC Personnel Policies.
  • Coordinate the Supported Employment Program budget expenditures within established fiscal boundaries.
  • Provide leadership to management regarding staff, people supported and families/advocates.
  • Provide representation of the agency with human service provider organizations; government representatives; other community service providers; business representatives; customers; and parents and advocates.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
