As a world-class retail and entertainment destination, American Dream is being developed by Triple Five Group, owners of the two largest shopping and entertainment centers in North America – Mall of America and West Edmonton Mall.

Opening in 2019, American Dream is approximately 3 million square feet and will redefine the customer experience in shopping and leisure with a unique combination of retail, dining, technology, entertainment and attractions – all in one location. Anchor tenant Saks Fifth Avenue – along with over 450 retail, food and specialty shops – are complimented by North America’s largest fully-enclosed indoor DreamWorks Water Park and Nickelodeon Universe Theme Park; a 16-story Big Snow Indoor Ski & Snow Park; Kidzania; a live Performing Arts Theater; 285-foot tall Observation Wheel; luxury movie theatres by Cinemex; Sea Life Aquarium, Lego Discovery Center; NHL-size Ice Rink; and two 18-hole miniature golf attractions. The center also features The Collections – a luxury and fashion area in the property and The Dining Terrace – a collection of fifteen full-service restaurants showcased in one location in the center.

Key Objective(s):

The main purpose of the Soundwave Project Manager is:

  • Talent buyer, event production, operational management and administrative coordination for Soundwave, the largest beach party at our new indoor waterpark.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Liaison with artists in contract negotiation and venue calendar management for 12+ events per year.
  • Coordinate show development with artists and production companies.
  • Manage relationships with internal and external event promoters.
  • Act as the promoter representative and point of contact for artist management during each show.
  • Manage of venue calendar availability and the placement of holds for artists and events. Vet potential business and research artist’s historical data.
  • Various projects as assigned; including the coordination of festival development, creation of inter-office systems and organization of show folders and internal confirmation sheets.
  • May be responsible for assisting marketing department on the creation of ad packs and submitting supervisor’s travel and expenses.
  • Ensure financial and operational success of events.
  • Other supervisory duties as required.

Desired Qualifications:

  • A minimum education level of: Bachelor of Arts/Business/Sciences Degree (4-year)
  • 5 years’ related work experience
  • Strong computer skills with a proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Experience working in production with an understanding how tours come together
  • Experience working with building offers
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with previous relationships with artists or management
  • Must be able to work flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and some holidays
  • Safety-minded and has the ability to stay calm in emergency situations.


Physical Job Requirements:

  • This is a full-time position that requires flexible availability Monday through Sunday including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to work in a hot and humid environment during events and setup/strike
  • Must be able to pass a basic security clearance.
