The Project Manager is a highly engaged leader that possesses a high level of construction and business acumen and is focused on developing a client-focused, goal-oriented team. The Project Manager position is a hands-on role working with employees at multiple levels to ensure goals and deadlines are met. The Project Manager manages all aspects of complex projects from bid creation/estimating through project delivery and punch out.

What you will be doing!

The primary goal of the Project Manager is to ensure our field personnel execute and complete the installation of their assigned projects according to strict deadlines, budgets and execution standards. This may include acquiring and managing resources along with coordinating the efforts of company employees, third-party subcontractors, consultants, vendors, and suppliers to deliver completed projects to our clients. The PM will work closely with Office Operations, Office Support, Field Operations along with our project generating client(s) to oversee goals and objectives. The PM is also responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of all reports, project tracker updates and any additional client-specific informational needs. The position is a hands-on role working on-site with employees at times to ensure that goals and deadlines are met.


Essential Functions

  • Support the EVP and VP Operations on execution of vision and facilitation of growth of project management maturity within the company.
  • Present a positive and professional image of the company and ensure inter-company values are being upheld.
  • Leverage resources, processes, and systems to ensure customer deliverables are met/exceeded and are within the company profit model.
  • Ability to conceptualize movements of field assets to partner with the Scheduling department in the implementation of scheduling strategies.
  • Ability to read and review construction blueprints and other construction documents.
  • Forecast staffing demands, assess the need for additional resources, assist in recruiting and direct onboarding of new team members.
  • Lead the team in the field by guiding them to success through focused support, mentoring, and coaching to ensure they provide a world-class client experience
  • Direct the activities of assigned departments through subordinate managers and supervisors; select staff and evaluates performance; review and take action on disciplinary matters.
  • Promote regular and ongoing opportunities for all staff and clients to give feedback on company operations.
  • Actively engage and support the development of the field operations team to ensure better performance and succession planning for future leadership and continued growth.
  • Promote a shared sense of responsibility across the organization for accurate and timely reporting.
  • Encourage teamwork, foster collaboration and manage recognition programs
  • Verify and sustain an effective communication process spanning departmental and intra-company initiatives.
  • Develop and implement an appropriate system of policies, internal controls, and procedures including development and management of reporting capabilities.
  • Plan, develop, organize, implement, and evaluate departmental short-term and long-term operational performance goals.
  • Present a positive and professional image of the company and ensure inter-company values are being upheld.
  • Perform review and analysis of special projects and keep the EMT group properly informed
  • Work with the EMT Team to plan, develop, implement, and evaluate a variety of operational strategies in order to determine their effectiveness in achieving short-range and long-range goals

Skills and Abilities

Education and Experience

  • 5+ years’ in operations or construction management across regional or national coverage with virtual oversight of projects
  • Construction, Operations, Staffing and Project Management experience preferred
  • Experience with Salesforce software and Construction Project Management software highly desirable
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred
  • Proficiency in Word and Excel with the ability to quickly master new technology platforms (i.e. Cruxos)


Supervisory Responsibility

The PM oversees all field staff. Direct supervisor of National Installation Teams including Installers, Carpenters and Trim Carpenters. Supervisor of multiple ongoing projects of varying length and scope.

Work Environment

The PM position generally operates in the headquarter office and routinely uses standard office equipment including computers, desk phones, and mobile devices. The noise level in the work environment is loud at times.


Physical Demands

In performing the essential duties of this job, the PM is regularly required to speak, see and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Specific speaking abilities required by this job include clarity of verbal expression, both in concept and sound, as well as regular prolonged verbal exchanges numerous times during the workday. Specific hearing abilities include close audible sounds, distant audible sounds, and accurate interpretation of sound; the most common sound being spoken word by other employees, clients, and vendors. The employee regularly is required to stand; walk; use hands to type, touch, and grip; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is required to sit for long periods but has autonomy to stand and move around as needed for personal comfort.


Travel

Occasional local travel up to 75%. Overnight travel up to 50%.
