The Project Manager supports the sales department in project management of furniture orders.
This position requires extensive knowledge of the office furniture industry and excellent organizational and communication (oral and written) skills. MUST have the knowledge to read floor plans.

This person will be responsible for:
⦁ Check specs against drawings with Designer
⦁ Project Management with the ability to manage and lead complicated design projects and/or multiple projects efficiently and successfully as well as working as a team member.
⦁ Knowledge and experience with commercial contract furniture and finishes required.
⦁ Thorough knowledge of commercial project design including constructability, project costs, building codes, furniture systems, and workplace design.
⦁ Coordinate order entry, production schedule, delivery schedules, Customers, Installation Supervisor, and furniture manufacturer to ensure a successful installation.
⦁ Monitor shipping schedules, scheduling receipt and installation with the Installation Supervisor, Customer, and Salesperson.
⦁ Ensure that installation drawings are accurate and complete; and, that any additional information required for installation is submitted to the Installation Supervisor.
⦁ Work with CAD dept. to complete installation drawings and technical specifications for project activities with clients, consultants, contractors, and staff.
⦁ Coordinate with outside contractors (i.e.: telephone, cable, electricians) and inform them of installation methods within the furniture systems.
⦁ Follow-up with furniture installer for a sign off sheet or review a punch list and to attain a customer signature on outstanding issues.
⦁ Follow up on order replacement parts, contact customers on status, and ensure proper follow-through.
⦁ Participate in weekly project status update meetings.
⦁ Be available for resolution of any issues at the time of installation.
⦁ Provides technical support to and receive project information from Sales and Customer.
⦁ Mentor/coach less experienced staff.
⦁ Motivated self-starter who works well in a collaborative environment.

Special Requirements:

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
At least 5 years of experience related to office furniture.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
Installation of office furniture and project management experience a MUST.
Overtime nights, weekends and holidays may be required.
