Buckley Nursery Company is a commercial landscaping company seeking a full-time Project Manager-Estimator. We specialize in commercial landscape, irrigation, pavers, drainage systems, wetland mitigation, greenroofs & hydroseeding for cities, state, government agencies & private developers.

Candidate will have 5+ years experience & a proven record of accomplished projects in all phases of landscape construction. Primary responsibility is to provide overall direction, scheduling, coordination, implementation & execution of assigned projects consistent with company strategy, commitments, safety standards and goals. This position is also responsible for estimating new projects.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Detailed plan and specification reading
  • Accurately perform material take-offs
  • Adhere to Company & Client policies and procedures
  • Planning & Scheduling
  • Communicate excellent written and verbal skills
  • Apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize employee performance
  • A thorough understanding of company and industry practices & standards
  • Maintain & process project records in an orderly & timely fashion
  • Deliver each project with the highest level of quality & follow the project’s contract documents & specifications
  • Submit RFI’s, Interpret RFP’s, Create COP’s
  • Manage costs to ensure project does not exceed project budget
  • Onsite visits with clients
  • Ability to work with existing staff to deliver successful projects
  • Oversee & inspect the overall safety of the jobsite & relevant surrounding areas

Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, MS Project as well as some type of estimating software system. WinEstimator is a plus. Excellent and accurate math skills.
