    Company: Rapidly growing online retailer with a diversified portfolio of products. Active catalog of over 500,000 items and a drop-ship vendor base of over 500 across the country, the company is poised for significant growth.

    We are looking for a dynamic leader to execute the company’s strategic & tactical initiatives to sustain growth profitably.

    The position will manage a team of 8 and oversee all aspects related to vendors from building new relationships to negotiating contracts to monitoring vendor performance both financially and operationally.

    • Sustain growth through new business relationships and enhancement of existing relationships to boost the product portfolio and competitiveness
    • Negotiate the best possible product pricing and most favorable payment terms
    • Continuously improve the efficiencies, reduce cost and enhance product value to customers.
    • Monitor day-to-day fulfillment and vendor management activities & resolve vendor and product problems timely.
    • Continually evaluate the service levels, product quality and financial stability of the vendors

    Qualifications / Requirements

    • The ideal candidate will have 8+ years’ experience in merchandising, supplier/vendor management, operations and commercial acumen with proven ability to execute product marketing programs with vendors
    • Experience in retail industry dealing with a wide portfolio of products and a large vendor base (200+). Online retail experience and exposure to Home category of products is desirable.
    • Superior negotiating skills & strong leadership skills; must be able to lead and manage cross-functional and project teams
    • Must have excellent analytical skills with a high level of proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office programs
    • Ability to work collaboratively with peers, vendors, and supply chain partners and influence their key leaders
    • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment, manage multiple priorities, and reliably get things done on-time
    • Demonstrate strong business judgment and decision-making skills; ability to identify, prioritize, and articulate highest impact initiatives
    • Ability to thrive in high-pressure environments
    • Must have a BS or a BA
