Reporting to the Bakery President, The Director of Supply Chain will lead a team of 7 to optimize in-bound supply chain performance and ingredient and packaging supply costs. This person will efficiently plan and schedule operations and collaborate with other departments on strategic department initiatives for a bakery with more than 600 total staff members that create delicious cheesecakes and memorable experiences.

Here’s more of what you’ll get to do:
- Provide day to day Supply Chain oversight and management.
- Oversee master long-term and intermediate operational production and inventory planning to optimize service, cost, and capacity utilization.
- Oversee day-to-day planning, production scheduling, and transactional interactions with our bakeries, distributors, suppliers and vendors, etc.
- Utilize MRP (Material Requirements Planning) to ensure optimum availability of raw ingredients and packaging supplies to service production needs.
- Secure fixed price contracts for key commodity-driven ingredients and packaging supplies to optimize balance of cost and risk consistent with company guidance and strategy.
- Provide oversight and leadership to Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system utilization and leverage to optimize system performance.
- Identify and implement cost savings and efficiencies within procurement and logistics and ensure optimum cost of raw materials and packaging supplies.
- Ensure priorities and resources are effectively managed and deployed to meet deadlines and commitments to other stakeholders.
- Partner with other departments regarding innovation and new product development and to help identify and implement internal processes and procedural improvement opportunities.
- Support international partners by providing sourcing and logistics expertise and guidance when needed.
- Ensure all applicable laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures are strictly adhered to.
- Ensure all contracts, agreements, and related documentation are accurate and complete prior to executing.
- Develop and foster strong relationships with other departments, suppliers, and vendors.
Qualifications
What we require:
- 10+ years of experience in supply chain management, with at least 3 of those years being at a Director level or above.
- Manufacturing industry experience preferred.
- Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system expertise and knowledge.
- Excellent communication, leadership and teambuilding skills.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration/Supply Chain Management or related field.
What we prefer:
- Experience in a bakery/dessert production facility.
- Master’s Degree in Business Administration.
