The Role in Brief:
Director of Digital Experience
We are looking for an experienced, highly strategic, creative and technically minded individual to join our brand agency team as the Director of Digital Experience. This role is responsible for engaging audiences and bringing education brands to life across all digital channels in a way that drives results. Working closely with partners, brand strategists, digital strategists and creatives, this position is designed to ensure that there is a strong connection between how a brand is perceived and acted upon online and offline. As a lead member of EAB’s new brand agency team, the Director of Digital Experience will help shape, promote and grow the department with an emphasis on integrated digital service offerings.
This role is based in Richmond, VA.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Pioneer digital strategy and implementation, working cross-functionally with teams during research, strategy, creative, analytic and reporting phases to ensure that our partners’ brands are seamlessly integrated across channels
- Oversee the development and implementation of website and digital ecosystem audits. Evaluate audit outcomes and develop strategies to address insufficiencies through improved content strategy, positioning, UX design and channel efficacy
- Manage partner and internal meetings in conjunction with account management and senior creatives to effectively develop relationships, instill confidence and build trust among internal and external stakeholders
- Write digital strategy and briefing documents to clearly communicate partner and internal expectations for a range of project types
- Develop and implement a digital project onboarding process to evaluate partner needs and accurately scope and estimate projects
- Manage a team of digital specialists to ensure that all aspects of the digital ecosystem meet or exceed industry standards
- Build and maintain relationships with outside development partners
- Leverage EAB’s strength as a data-driven company to build and grow the agency team as a respected brand development partner
- Provide internal consulting and mentorship to project leads across EAB’s extended service offerings
Basic Qualifications:
- 10+ years of brand development experience with an emphasis in digital channels
- Experience designing innovative and creative brand campaigns to build affinity and achieve specific business goals
- Experience and understanding of digital production processes for websites, landing pages, segmentation, email creation, workflows, A/B testing and campaign reporting
- Experience launching a brand campaign across traditional and digital channels
- Command of conceptual processes and ability to provide clear direction and critique to both creative and technical resources
- Ability to handle multiple and simultaneous deadlines
- Ability to coordinate and lead discussions/meetings across partner and internal teams
- Problem-solving skills and ability to be a team player
- Communication and presentation skills, both written and oral
- Degree in marketing or communications related field
Ideal Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of modern technologies and emerging platforms
- Experience with UX design, customer journey mapping, IA and wireframes, and analytics
- Experience working in the education industry
