We are seeking an experienced ADON for our skilled 163 bed nursing facility. The ideal candidate will haave prior experience in a long term care setting.
Duties include:
- Meet the nursing medical needs of all residents
- Directs and supervise RN Supervisors, Charge Nurses/LPNs in effectively accomplishing their duties
- Assists in the interpretation of facility nursing policies and ensure the implementation of these policies
- Assumes all responsibilities of the Director of Nursing jin his/her absence
- Responsibe for infection control
- Cordinate and direct the total planning for nursing services
- Maintain a kcomprehensive knowledge of general theory and practice
- Responsible for the accurate and timely completion of medical records
- Assists in the recruitment and selection of nursing staff
- Oversee daily staffing process
- Maintain flexibility with work schedule to address unpredictable needs
- 24 hours on call
Requirement:
- Must have a current New York State RN license
- Minimum 2+ years’ experience working in a long term care setting
- Excellent communication skills
- Evidence of basic leadership skills and supervision
- Flexible hours (will be required to work nights)
