ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
Secure new third-party management contracts for Interstate Hotels & Resorts (IHR).
Identify and work with equity sources and investors to acquire new hotels to feed IHR’s management contract pipeline.
Evaluate and recommend key money or sliver equity investments to secure management contracts.
Manage relationships with existing owners.
Nurture relationships with brokers, consultants, brands, banks, investors and other hospitality industry deal sources and participate in key industry events, conferences and networking opportunities relevant to increasing management business.
Liaise with Operations and Revenue Management to understand IHR’s competitive advantages, challenges, and best practices.
Identify, evaluate, solicit, and follow up with targets through multiple methods (cold calls, conferences, RFPs, public relations, presentations, etc.)
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.
Knowledge and Skills :
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in hospitality or finance preferred or equivalent; Masters Preferred
Experience: 12-15 years of direct experience
Skills and Abilities:
Must be able to negotiate management agreements and franchise agreements. Must have experience with and a strong working knowledge of hospitality real estate financial analysis.
Strong leadership, managerial, problem solving, written and oral communication, and presentation and facilitation skills are essential.
Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple concurrent and complex projects and to work effectively and efficiently under pressure to meet required deadlines. Demonstrated analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills including data gathering and analysis. Demonstrated ability to address large groups of individuals.
