The Department of Economic Security, Division of Employment and Rehabilitation Services is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Southern Regional Manager within the Employer Engagement Administration (EEA). This position is responsible for leading/managing the region’s Local Veteran Employment Representatives (LVERs) and Business Services Representatives (BSRs) towards outstanding performance, and consciously creating a workplace culture that motivates and empowers employees to take initiative and be accountable. Additionally, this position is responsible for developing a working relationship with area businesses, community-based organizations, and governmental agencies to promote EEA programs.
Daily travel in assigned coverage area with statewide travel per business need.
Job Duties:
- Evaluate and develop employees by using goal setting, and performance planning to ensure expectations for productivity and quality are met and or exceeded
- Ensure work actives are aligned to EEA goals and metrics
- Ensure the Employment team is coordinated and in communication with al partners
- Attend local area business meetings and utilize chamber committees to promote relationships with strategic businesses
- Understand and appl Labor market information
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of leadership practices and principles
- Knowledge of Local, State, and National Labor Market trends
- Skilled in working with changing priorities and utilizing time-management, planning and organizational skills
- Skilled in effective written and verbal communication including public speaking, and meeting facilitation
- Ability to interpret Federal and State laws, policies, rules and regulations related to employment
- Ability to collect and analyze data, manage projects, and implement strategies
- Ability to assess and research regional cultural/community needs
- Ability to build collaboration with internal and external partners, and the business community
- Proficiency with MS Office, Google, and data systems
Licenses and Certifications:
- Arizona Level 1 Clearance Card
- This position will require the possession of and ability to retain a current, valid state-issued driver’s license appropriate to the assignment. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver’s license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records and must complete any driver training (see Arizona Administrative Code R2-10-207.12). Individuals may be required to drive their personal motor vehicle; however, mileage will be reimbursed
- Candidates for this position shall be subject to a search of both the Child Protective Services Central Registry pursuant to A.R.S. 8-804 and the Adult Protective Services Registry pursuant to A.R.S. 46-459
Qualifications:
- Successfully complete the Electronic Employment Eligibility Verification Program (E-Verify), applicable to all newly hired state employees
