    SkuVault is seeking a Scrum Master (Agile Process Owner) for our Louisville, KY office (onsite position)

    The Scrum Master (SM) acts as a facilitator for both the Product Owner (PO) and the development teams; Removes impediments of the team to deliver the sprint goal/deliverables; The Scrum Master handles distractions so the team can focus on their work; Ensures that the Agile process is implemented and followed as intended; Facilitates the team’s Retrospectives and daily Scrum meetings; Supports the BA in Release and Sprint Planning;The Scrum Master can also help the Product Owner with backlog management. The ScrumMaster is expected to understand the team development processes and identify possible enhancements for the teams.

    MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Coordinates and facilitates and supports the Team’s Release Planning, Sprint Planning, daily Scrum meetings, and Retrospectives.
    • Tracks the sprint burndown, and uses reports within Jira as needed to relay team progression.
    • Coaches teams in its endeavors and ensures that the Agile methodology is properly implemented during the project.
    • Actively works as an accountability partner for the team.
    • Manages the project release, sprints, and possible impediments. Assists in creating a release plan and helps maintain the prioritized project/product backlog.
    • Helps the team maintain a velocity to meet the sprint goals.
    • Maintains communication between the Product Owner, development staff, and leadership—updating them on project progression, issues within the team and process, and/or the Agile process progress.
    • Ensure that the development team has been fully allocated and accounted for during the planning process.
    • Maintains consistency within Jira and polices the proper use of the tool amongst the development team.
    • Actively participates on assigned work, fulfilling task assignments, meeting deadlines, and proactively seeking attainment of team goals

    Minimum Requirements:

    • 2+ years direct experience in a ScrumMaster role supporting development teams in an Agile environment (Associate/Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, or related fields preferred).
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to adapt your communication style for the audience
    • Strong decision-making skills are a necessity
    • Demonstrate a high level of working knowledge with agile methodologies (Scrum, kanban, etc) and processes
    • Experience coaching a team and individuals through alignment of processes
    • Facilitate collaborative decision-making in a workshop context
    • Meet commitments, build consensus, negotiate resolutions, and garner respect from other team members.
    • Capable of breaking down complex problems into actionable steps
    • Strong attention to detail, combined with the ability to see and explain the big picture
