The Project Management function includes directing the activities of a large multi-dimensional project team, interfacing with investigators around the country, and overseeing the day to day operational aspects of the clinical research project at the CSCC. The position is responsible for planning and implementation of work for the project so that contracted deliverables such as data management systems, site training and monitoring visits, Data and Safety Monitoring Board reports, study management reports, database closures, scientific manuscripts and limited access datasets are delivered on schedule. The role also involves collaborating with researchers on protocol and case report form (CRF) development, supporting the project PI in managing budgets, and Institutional Review Board applications.

Minimum Qualifications:

7 years of clinical or public health research experience including 5 years of managing clinical research staff and 5 years of project management experience; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience. – In depth knowledge of, and skill in applying, applicable clinical research regulatory requirements; i.e., Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and International Conference on Harmonization (ICH) guidelines – Demonstrated ability to gain in depth therapeutic and protocol knowledge – Excellent written and oral communication skills – Strong interpersonal skills – Strong organizational and problem solving skills – Good team leadership skills – Effective mentoring and training skills – Excellent customer service skills – Good judgment – Effective presentation skills – Ability to manage competing priorities, including adeptness at time management – Strong software and computer skills – Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers and clients – Strong negotiating skillsMaster’s degree in public health, biostatistics, epidemiology or related field
