Job Description
The Regional Vice President (RVP) is the cornerstone of our operations strategy and acts as the liaison between Corporate and Community Operations. The RVP is the direct supervisor for the On-Site Community Manager and Sales and Leasing personnel for their region. This individual is responsible for supervising, training and providing continued support for all direct reports. Along with strong management roles, the RVP also acts as the main reporting source for all performance metrics of their communities and is accountable for all work product that takes place in their region. Ultimately, this individual is responsible for the growth and success of each community in their portfolio.
Responsibilities – Overview
· Direct Supervisor – District Manager, Community Manager and Sales / Leasing personnel
· On-Going Training and Support – Responsible for managing, coaching and training personnel, and for ensuring all personnel have the tools to succeed
· Work Product – Responsible for measurable results and work product of the region
· Reporting – Conduct all reporting that is needed to update and educate corporate personnel and investors
· Site Inspections – Conduct monthly/bi-monthly site inspections and create formal reports for the community and for corporate
· Implement – Responsible for implementing the operating processes and overall vision of Havenpark into each community, especially with newly acquired communities
· Liaison – Act as a liaison between corporate and the community personnel, providing insight and up to date information to each group
Responsibilities – Additional/Detailed
· Oversee the operations of the community, ensuring that work is being done timely, within budget and within company guidelines
· Oversee Sales / Leasing activities to ensure that all goals are being met
· Responsible for all staffing changes in the community
· Responsible for being aware of all aspects relating to inventory in the community
· Provide support for home infill efforts
· Responsible for executing 100-day plan on all new acquisitions
· Perform weekly status calls with the Community Manager and Sales / Leasing personnel
· Perform monthly/bi-monthly utility re-billing analysis
· Regionals are responsible for creating monthly portfolio reviews and presenting them to corporate
· Oversee all property accounting to ensure managers are implementing best practices
Qualifications
· Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience
· Minimum of 2 years Regional Manager experience in property management, preferably in Manufactured Housing Communities or Apartment asset classes
· Experience in Manufactured Home Communities preferred but not mandatory
· Bachelor’s degree required
· An exceptional track record of driving revenue growth and controlling expenses
· Proven success and as a team leader and working across multiple functions
