Restaurant is looking for a part-time or full time person to manage a short-term project. We are located in Dupont neighborhood in Washington, DC. Our ideal candidate has some IT experience and is flexible in work hours and days, including weekends. Ideally the project will end beginning of January.
Responsibilities
*Manage the transfer of point-of-sale (POS) systems, which includes kitchen display units *Learn the new POS system and be able to train others *Set up preferences and other functions within the POS system *Determine the necessity of third party systems (e.g., schedule system, gift certificate system, delivery system, etc.), learn about them, and manage the implementation *Test the new system and report back and manage items that need to be corrected *Manage the closure of the old POS system, which includes capturing all the reports and returning hardware
Qualifications
*At least some IT experience, preferably with POS systems *Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written *Preferably someone who speaks with English and Spanish, since some of the training will have to occur with Spanish speakers
