POSITION OVERVIEW

The Health Promotion, Outreach Project Manager will work with the Director, Health Promotion , Marketing and Outreach and business functional leaders to design, document, manage, and report on execution of comprehensive project plans in support of MCO operations.

The primary responsibilities of this role include working with stakeholders to understand their business requirements, helping to define and manage scope, ownership of the project definition and documentation tasks, and successful management of multiple concurrent large projects. The role works closely with the Health Promotion, Outreach & Marketing teams to project manage, and develop functional improvements for the organization.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Demonstrates a logical, rigorous, and analytical project management approach, leading requirements gathering sessions and preparing and managing comprehensive project plans designed to ensure on time on budget high value deliverables.
  • Responsible for supporting oversight functions as well as internal health plan operations associated with Health Promotion, Outreach & Marketing.
  • Supports assurance of departmental compliance with all contracts (e.g., DHCF, others).
  • Monitors operational compliance with organizational standards, policies and procedures and regulatory requirements and identifies opportunities for business process improvement.
  • Develops and maintains effective communication mechanisms at various levels of the organization and with external organizations.
  • Leads projects that improve the performance of Health Promotion programs and services to members.
  • Assists management and leadership with problem identification and resolution by researching and reporting problem areas.
  • Serves as a resource to both internal and external customers.
  • Facilitates Medical Management staff participation in various committees and task forces.
  • Responsible for the business process improvement of essential medical management functions including EPSDT, Adult Wellness, Marketing and Outreach.

  • Coordinates all project activities, tasks, and resources to ensure timely completion of milestones, and deliverables.

  • Assists Director, Health Promotion, Marketing & Outreach with various special projects, reporting, and duties as assigned.

  • Attends and leads meetings, provides project status reporting to management.

  • Occasionally leads direct or indirect employees for specific projects or objectives.


QUALIFICATIONS

This position requires demonstrable project management experience, excellent communication and presentation skills (both verbal and written) and the ability to work with users of all skill levels. Must work well with a team while simultaneously managing projects.

EDUCATION

  • BS/BA degree in Business, Health Administration, or related field

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

  • 3+ years in a MCO environment
  • Strong project design and management skills and experience
  • Strong Microsoft Project skills
  • High intelligence and commitment to operational performance excellence
  • Detailed oriented
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Office and PowerPoint
  • Tableau Proficient
  • Adobe Proficient
  • Data Analysis

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS

  • Project Management certification strongly preferred
