Botkeeper is seeking an experienced Product Manager to join our rapidly growing team! The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, integrating their own knowledge with user feedback to help determine the future of our product roadmap. The Product Manager will work cross-functionally to manage the product lifecycle from beginning to end, ensuring that Botkeeper’s features continue to serve our clients’ needs. The person in this role should be able to clearly articulate high-level priorities while being willing to dive into the smaller tasks to help accomplish these goals. We are seeking an energetic, flexible thinker who is eager to positively impact the businesses of our 1000+ customers!
Responsibilities:
- Assume responsibility for the product life cycle at all levels, from establishing large-scale roadmap priorities to the actual execution of each step along the way
- Synthesize your knowledge of accounting with user interviews and market research to identify customer needs
- Brainstorm solutions and quickly iterate new approaches following testing
- Collaborate with engineering, UI/UX, marketing, operations, and sales teams to help design and deliver functionality to users
Requirements:
- 2-4 years as a product manager or engineer, ideally in a fast-paced start-up environment
- Strong familiarity with accounting practices and systems; ideal candidates will have a CPA license
- Track record of successfully managing and launching past complex products
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, effectively working across departments and managing multiple projects at once
- Ability to communicate with diverse groups, from customers to company executives
- Strong analytical skills, easily breaking complex problems down into smaller, workable parts
- Curiosity, determination, and creativity
- Based in Boston, Charlotte, or NYC
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
