The Great Lakes Area includes MI, OH, and IN, and we are looking for a candidate in this Area.

This is a fully support-raised position.

Position Summary

The Mobilization Associate Area Director will work with the Mobilization Area Director in providing leadership, direction and strategy to mobilize and facilitate North American churches and individuals toward participation and partnership in a range of EWMI ministries. They will work closely with EWMI Mobilization staff.

Education, Skills, Abilities and Experiences

  • Uphold a close and growing relationship with Jesus Christ
  • A baptized believer of Jesus Christ
  • High commitment to, and practices, regular prayer and time in the Word
  • Faithful member of a local church
  • Experienced in sharing his/her faith with a clear, concise gospel message
  • BA degree preferred
  • Experienced in cross-cultural ministry, preferred
  • Ability to travel overseas at least 4 weeks a year
  • Ability to raise personal support as well as develop and manage personal ministry budget
  • Experienced in leading cross-cultural short-term mission teams
  • Is a strong team player
  • Displays a teachable spirit
  • Good communication and networking skills
  • Must have a passion to see people come to faith in Jesus Christ
  • Sales or Development experience a plus
  • Church staff experience a plus

Goals

  • Mobilize churches and individuals for participation in various EW ministries
  • Lead / Coordinate typically no more than 4 STMTs a year to the field
  • Facilitate U.S. churches in establishing a “Church Partnership” relationship through EWMI
  • Maintain ongoing relationship with church partners and follow up with STT members
  • Assist Area Director in projects and planning as requested
  • Attend meetings, retreats and conferences as requested
  • Develop and maintain network of personal support
